I went to my first appointment at a VA clinic on Wednesday the 19th and was told they would have my Vicodin sent FedEx Overnight. I am leaving town driving from Knoxville, TN to San Antonio on Friday night(21st). Will I most likely have my script before I leave Knox or will I have to just do without? If I do leave town what will happen to my pills? Will they just keep trying to deliver them? Can other people sign for a narcotic? Thank you friends (that was my John McCain impersonation). Thanks for your answers. Loren, unfortunatly the Knoxville clinic doesn't have a pharmacy. The closest one is in Johnson City which is about 100 miles away. The doc offered to write a 10 day supply for me to take to a regular pharmacy and pay out of pocket but I didn't want to pay. Greco - I haven't had any of THOSE effects in years. I am well past the, "see how it affects you" stage. I do appreciate your concern. I think I should clarify, I am not running out. I have enough to get me by the whole 12 days I will be there. I am just concerned with my pills floating around in FedEx limbo or maybe even getting sent back to the VA. When I said I didn't want to pay for the 10 day supply I meant that I really didn't need them therefore I will not pay.
